Mold

Mold. Its spores continually waft through our air. When excessive moisture or water accumulates, these mold spores can begin growing … and growing … and will continue to do so if left untreated.

Mold can result from a disaster – a storm, fire or flooding – or it could be an existing problem that has never been addressed.

Reducing moisture is the key to preventing or controlling the growth of mold and fungi.

In the event of a sudden disaster, it is imperative that water-damaged or excessively moist areas and contents be dried within 24-48 hours to prevent mold growth. And ACT professionals are on site within minutes, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

ACT has successfully provided mold remediation services to fully operational hotels, convention centers, apartment buildings, condominiums, restaurants, daycare centers and other commercial properties coast to coast with minimal disruption to customers and occupants.

How we treat mold
  • If you’ve suffered water damage due to a sudden disaster, our First Responders team is on-site within minutes to assess the situation and provide immediate emergency-control measures. The fully equipped ACT team arrives to address all other facets of disaster response and restoration.

  • If mold has been a persistent problem, ACT will assess your property and extent of damage, then draw up a plan to remove the mold.

  • The first step is to dehumidify the structure and environment. Our certified disaster response professionals are trained in psychrometry, the science of restorative drying.

  • We utilize cutting-edge technology – precise thermal-imaging cameras to detect hidden moisture and powerful, fast-acting semi-trailer desiccant and low-grain refrigerant dehumidifiers, injectidriers and more — to extract moisture from deep within the structure.

  • We use special techniques and measures to prevent the further spread of mold during the remediation process.

  • Our staff, with special training in mold remediation, then decontaminates the building and contents using effective, proven techniques and special HEPA-filtered air scrubbers.

  • Decontamination of your HVAC system, by our staff that is certified in air duct cleaning, is crucial to prevent mold and other contaminants from continuing to spread throughout your facility.

  • Our equipment, designed to minimize noise and disruption for occupants, is quiet and uses fewer amps and lower voltage.
