Water

Water! Its presence not only destroys structures and contents, but resulting high humidity can lead to pervasive mold, corrosion … and further destruction.
Water disaster experience
Our experience coast to coast makes us well equipped to deal with water disaster recovery and secondary damage, no matter what the source of the problem.
We’ve successfully dealt with flooding throughout commercial buildings due to tornados, storms, earthquakes – even hurricane-driven winds – city water line breaks, burst pipes, sprinkler line breaks, broken levees, and more.
Water disaster success
Our success stems from our strategic, integrated planning that combines the expertise of our staff with state-of-the-art technology and innovative techniques.
Experts in psychrometry, the science of restorative drying, we start by extracting standing water.
We then dehumidify the air, extracting hidden moisture from deep within the structure, and allowing walls, carpets and furniture to dry.
Dehumidifying the air as quickly as possible is critical to prevent the growth of mold and fungi.
We then address secondary damage from water, such as plumbing, electrical and power problems, HVAC contamination and damage to contents, documents, data and equipment.

Cutting-edge technology
Our arsenal of equipment allows us to tailor the technology to the situation:
- Infrared (thermal imaging) cameras detect moisture and structural problems quickly and quietly with minimal disturbance to occupants and no damage to the facility. The camera documents inspection results, and identifies restoration conditions as "post repair" or "as built."
- Powerful semi-trailer desiccant dehumidifiers extract moisture from the air, allowing the structure and contents to dry.
- Portable low-grain refrigerant units, injectidriers and other equipment are used to dehumidify the air.
- HEPA-filtered air scrubbers, commercial generators and other equipment – right for that particular job – are used to complete the recovery process.
- Special procedures are used to restore contents, such as documents, electronic data, computers and telecommunications equipment.
Certified staff
Regardless of the type of disaster, ACT responds within minutes, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
All our professionals are certified in the multiple disciplines of disaster response and restoration.
Highly trained in psychrometry, the ACT staff brings years of experience in water extraction and dehumidification techniques to disasters involving water, moisture and high humidity.
Their expertise is validated by their certification in Applied Structural Drying and by earning the Water Restoration Technician designation.
They’re also trained in the use of thermal imaging cameras, limited-intrusion drying techniques and other dehumidifying equipment to deal with moisture problems. And, they’ve developed techniques to minimize disruption to your building occupants.
